Very nice ideas!. I would like to add a new idea about hybrid libraries and also how research methodology and practice will be mixed with LIS activities.

One of the neatest things about the local histories is that you can search for a family name, and it shows you the page number in every local history with that name.
It works really well if the name is distinctive and you don't have a very famous ancestor with many pages. But even if it is Smith or Brown, you can do an advanced search using other names, places or keywords in combination.

I think the prime minister should read the novels and/or short stories of Margaret Laurence, a wonderful Canadian writer. I tripped over her books while I was doing some consulting work in Ontario about ten years ago. Thanks for giving me something fun to think about this afternoon. MF

I took the test and scored only 1 out of 10. The comment was that I should "live a little". Ha, Ha. What should I watch first? I can't stand guns and gore but I like a good story.

Sadly, history repeats itself. This is very reminiscent of the "more popular than Jesus" comment by John Lennon, which provoked a backlash in the US and internationally - mass record burnings, Beatles boycotts, death threats, etc. For a summary, see:
