Dr. James Martens is Head of History at Red Deer College. In addition to teaching students about ancient civilizations, Jim has a keen historical interest in popular culture, music and sport. He grew up in Winnipeg in the 1960s and can boast to having seen Neil Young and the Squires at a local dance.
