This is also a good time to remind you that you can bring your students to the library for an introductory or refresher class in information literacy at any point throughout the semester.

Classes taught by librarians will reinforce the information literacy skills you are teaching, ensuring your students are given the opportunity to tap into their critical thinking skills and discover the valuable research tools available to them. A librarian will work with you to design a session tailored to your curriculum, research assignments, and the skill level of your students.

To book classes you can either contact the liaison librarian for your program or you can contact Michelle Edwards Thomson, the Information Literacy Instruction Coordinator, by phone at 342-3346 or by email at michelle.edwards.thomson@rdc.ab.ca .

To facilitate the collaborative process during the design phase of the classes, please provide a copy of the assignment you’ll be giving your students.
