Google Apps is a collection of web-based tools that run in a web-browser, without requiring users to purchase or install software. There are communication tools (Gmail, Google Talk, Google Calendar), productivity tools (Google Docs, for text files, spreadsheets, and presentations), and a web development tool (Google Sites).

Did you know that the Oxford English Dictionary is always adding new words? While print updates take years and years to be published, the online version is updated quarterly. Since Red Deer College Library subscribes to the online version, you have desktop access to the most up-to-date definitions.

The most recent update occurred in March 2008. More information about the updates, inlcuding the alphabetical range of updated words, can be found on the OED site.
