February’s Resource of the Month

February 3, 2011

Need books? Try the WorldCat Library Catalogue!

WorldCat:

  • is a great tool if you need to find books, eBooks, or videos on a particular topic
  • allows you to request books from RDC and other libraries worldwide
  • organizes your search results by library and relevance so that useful items appear first in the list!

Create a free WorldCat account to take advantage of social features such as tagging, adding reviews, saving search results and more!

Exciting feature: Use the Cite/Export tool to create references for items you find in WorldCat.

Find WorldCat:

If you want to access electronic resources in WorldCat off campus, you can do so using your 13 digit Library barcode number on your iCard and NEOS PIN.

For more information on WorldCat, any other Resource of the Month, or to get your NEOS PIN, call us at 403.342.3152, email us at rdclibrary@gmail.com, or visit the Library Information Desk

NEW FEATURES:

Images from the ARTstor Digital Library are now accessible through iPad, iPhone, and the iPod Touch to registered ARTstor users.  ARTstor Mobile provides read-only features such as searching, browsing, zooming, and viewing saved image groups.

Try the new Flashcard View, which allows you to test your knowledge by viewing the image without textual information, and then flipping the image to reveal the image record.
