New Resources for Fall 2012

by

Since most people are settling into the thick of writing term papers, I thought it might be a good time to highlight some of the new resources available to RDC students and staff this fall…

First, for those who were used to using the database Business and Company Resource Centre for finding company information, that database was replaced over the summer with Business Insights: Essentials. The new database has all of the information and functionality that was available through the old database, plus some new content and features, like the ability to create graphs charting the performance of two or more companies. Check it out on the Find Articles page of the Business Subject Guide.

We also subscribed to a new database that provides further information for anyone studying business.  ABI Inform  contains business, management and trade journal articles, market and industry reports, business cases, global and trade news. It’s available from the Find Articles pages of the Business Subject Guide and the Economics Subject Guide.

We expanded our offerings within the Films on Demand streaming videos collection.  In addition to the Nursing and Health and Family and Consumer Sciences titles, we now have many more titles in the areas of Humanities and Social Sciences, Business and Economics, and Science and Mathematics.  Find the Films on Demand collection on the Find Videos & DVDs page on any RDC Library subject guide.

Finally, we added a number of images of pieces from the RDC permanent art collection into ARTstor.  Check it out on the Find Images page of any RDC Library subject guide.
